Yves Maxime Antoine Gijrath was born on December 16, 1966, in Amsterdam. Green eyes, a full head of brown hair, and two worlds under one roof: a father who lived in mathematics, a mother who loved art and culture. That combination made him.

At 14 he was the best children's stamp seller in the country. He paid for his own studies. He retreated to Korba, Tunisia, to find silence and a plan. A few years later he met Tamara, his great love. After more than thirty years and two sons, she still gives him the strength to chase what matters.

In 2000 he launched MILJONAIR Magazine, a concept that shocked Calvinist Netherlands. Two years later it became a physical event: Millionaire Fair. Fashion shows, star chefs, major car brands. The circus travelled from Moscow to Shanghai, from Istanbul to Cannes.

Then the financial crisis. Then COVID. The concept evolved, the name changed, the spirit stayed. MASTERS EXPO was born. And somewhere in between all of that, Yves started making art.

YVESKE is not an artist who retreated to a studio. YVESKE is someone who spent thirty years inside the room, observing the architects of destruction and progress, and then told their stories in 191 works. Together with his oldest son, they created something gargantuan.
